Terms of Service

Last updated July 6, 2026

These terms govern your use of FedInt, a web dashboard operated by Leftward Labs LLC ("Leftward Labs," "we," "us"). By accessing FedInt you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. The service

FedInt tracks vocabulary usage across public federal sources, including the Federal Register, Grants.gov, USAspending, and NIH RePORTER, and presents analysis of which terms are rising, falling, or retired in federal funding documents, along with suggested alternatives and funding-priority intelligence. The underlying federal data is in the public domain; the analysis, curation, and presentation are ours.

2. Not professional advice

FedInt reports observed usage patterns and editorial curation for informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, compliance advice, or a determination of grant eligibility. Vocabulary choices in a federal proposal remain your responsibility, and no output of this service guarantees any funding outcome. Consult qualified counsel or your sponsored-programs office for decisions with legal or compliance consequences.

3. Access and accounts

Access is granted per person through an email-based sign-in. Your access is for you: don't share sign-in access with others or resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service. An organization that wants multiple seats should purchase them.

4. Subscription and billing

FedInt is a paid subscription billed monthly or annually at the price shown at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the paid period; we don't prorate partial periods. We may change pricing with notice before your next renewal.

5. Acceptable use

Don't scrape, bulk-download, or programmatically extract the service's data or analysis for republication or resale; don't probe, disable, or interfere with the service; and don't use it in violation of law. Document scanning runs entirely in your browser, and your uploaded documents are never transmitted to us.

6. Intellectual property

FedInt's analysis, curation, presentation, brand, and software are the property of Leftward Labs LLC. Federal source data remains public domain. Your documents remain yours; we never receive them.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available and its data refreshed, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific refresh schedules, or the accuracy or completeness of any data or analysis. Federal sources change; classifications reflect judgment. We may modify features over time.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leftward Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost funding, lost profits, or lost opportunities, arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

We may suspend or end access for violation of these terms. You may cancel at any time. Sections 2, 6, and 8 survive termination.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

11. Contact and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions go to leftwardlabs.com/support. Our privacy practices are described at leftwardlabs.com/privacy.
